The College of Engineering started Discover Engineering Days to introduce middle school students (grades 6-8) and their teachers to the various fields in engineering and the engineering programs offered at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. As an activity volunteer, I have had the opportunity to lead and assist in Civil and Environmental Engineering outreach activities

Participated as a volunteer judge for the 2022 AISC/ASCE National Student Steel Bridge Competition at Virginia Tech. In charge of performing the lateral loading test portion of the competition.

Letters to a Pre-Scientist

The mission of Letters to a Pre-Scientist is to facilitate one-on-one connections to humanize STEM professionals, demystify STEM career pathways, and inspire all students to explore a future in STEM. As a volunteer pen pal, I have had the opportunity to correspond with different students all over the U.S. and motivate them to pursue a career in STEM.

In my freshman year, I became a member of the Service Committee of the American Society of Civil Engineers UPRM Student Chapter. As civil engineers, it is important to connect with communities in need and see how can we lend a helping hand. The committee's purpose is for students to develop a sense of responsibility towards their community and helping by incorporating solutions through civil engineering. As a member I have participated and organized many food drives, beach clean-ups, outreach activities for kids, and many more activities.
